Neuropsychological processes and meaningful learning in Physical Education studentsContenido principal del artículo
Meaningful learning posits that new knowledge is substantially integrated with the student's prior cognitive structure when there is a favorable disposition and the materials are logically relevant. This research aimed to determine the relationship between neuropsychological processes and meaningful learning in students of the Professional School of Physical Education at the National University of San Marcos. A quantitative approach with a non-experimental, cross-sectional, and descriptive-correlational design was adopted, with a sample of 90 students. The results showed that 82.2% of the participants were at positive levels with respect to neuropsychological processes and 83.4% with respect to meaningful learning. Furthermore, significant associations were found between both variables and all their respective dimensions. In conclusion, a statistically significant, strong, and positive relationship between neuropsychological processes and meaningful learning was confirmed.
